Did you know that you may be entitled to help with your childcare fees?

There are various schemes available to you and we would be happy to discuss how these schemes can work for you.

Two-Year-Old Funding

Some two-year-olds are eligible for up to 15 hours of childcare each week for 38 weeks of the year. We stretch that funding for you, enabling your child, to attend our nursery, for regular sessions, over the 51 weeks of the year that we are open.

After you apply and if you are entitled you will receive a code which you will need to bring with you to book your place. You also need to take your child's birth certificate and proof of address as well as your own D.O.B and N.I number.

The criteria for two-year olds requires parents to be in receipt of one of the following:

  • Income Support

  • Income based Job Seekers Allowance

  • Income related Employment and Support Allowance

  • Support under part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit

  • Child Tax Credit or working Tax Credit and an annual income of less than £16,190

  • Universal Credit if your annual net earned income is less than £15,400

  • If your child is looked after by the Local Authority, has left care through special guardianship or an adoption or residence order

  • If your child has a current statement of special educational needs or an education, health and care plan

  • If your child qualifies for Disability Living Allowance


When Can My Child Start Claiming?

Eligible children are able to start the term after their second birthday.

Born between: 1 January to 31 March (inclusive)
Can start from: The start of the summer funding period (April) following their 2nd birthday

Born between: 1 April to 31 August (inclusive)
Can start from: The start of the summer funding period (April) following their 2nd birthday

Born between: 1 September to 31 December (inclusive)
Can start from: The start of the spring funded period (January) following their 2nd birthday

The two-year-old funding voucher will tell you the earliest date that your child can start their funded place.


Three and Four-Year-Old Funding

When your child turns 3 years old you will be entitled to Early Education Funding.

This is divided into two types of funding;

Early Education Fund for 3 & 4-year-olds - universal entitlement (15 hours)

Early Education Fund for 3 & 4-year-olds - extended entitlement (30 hours)

The criteria for the extended entitlement is:

  • If you a two-parent family, both working and each of you earns the equivalent of 16 hours per week paid at the national living wage

  • Each parent earns less than £100,000 per year

  • If you are a single parent, working and earning the equivalent of 16 hours per week paid at the national minimum wage

  • If you earn less than £100,000 per year


When Can My Child Start Claiming?

From the term following their 3rd birthday.

Date of 3rd birthday: 1 April - 31 August
Government funded pre-school entitlement starts from: Term 1 - September

Date of 3rd birthday: 1 September - 31 December
Government funded pre-school entitlement starts from: Term 2 - January

Date of 3rd birthday: 1 January - 31 March
Government funded pre-school entitlement starts from: Term 3 - April


Is The Entitlement All Year?

Funded hours are only for 38 weeks (term time). As we are open all year round we stretch this funding for you across the 51 weeks of the year.

We do have a limited number of term time funded places available.  Please enquire with the Manager.


Childcare vouchers and Tax Free Childcare

At The Early Learning Camp we accept payment using all the childcare voucher schemes.  The government have their own scheme called Tax-Free Childcare, which we also accept.  You can find out if you are eligible by visiting the links below.
